The Glide Gear 4 Slider is an affordable and portable option for filmmakers. The slider holds up to 50lbs and can hold a Red camera with the proper stands. The wheels on the rails provide smooth movement, however, getting the bearings perfect may take some work. The rails are lightweight and come with some plastic parts and may experience some scuff marks. The 3/8-16 screw for a tripod head is too short, so a longer screw is recommended to secure the head. There is no proper support for heavy duty stands, and additional hardware is required to adapt to a C-stand. The case for the slider is small and does not accommodate the assembled truck once wheels are installed.
