The Electric Quilt A-0008EQ is a computer-driven software designed to assist users in designing quilts. The software is compatible with both Mac and Windows systems and can be downloaded on two systems as long as they are both the same. The software includes an easy-draw function that is very versatile and allows users to create their shapes. One can also design their own blocks, change block shapes and colours, and print templates for cutting specific designs. The programme also estimates the amount of fabric needed for each fabric type and colour. However, the software is not intuitive and requires a lot of manual work to get the paper piecing to print correctly. Also, whilst there are YouTube videos that can help, most were done in earlier software versions, making it challenging to apply the steps. Nonetheless, the software is reasonably priced and is recommended by buyers.
