ZigBee Smart Light Switch, Work with Alexa Google Home, Pushbutton Switch with Backlight, Neutral Wire Required, Zigbee Hub Required (2way-4pack)
The ZigBee Smart Light Switch presents a functional and stylish addition to your smart home setup, especially for those invested in platforms like Home Assistant. This switch is designed to integrate seamlessly with ZigBee hubs, showing its adaptability and user-friendliness for the tech-savvy or those who enjoy DIY installations. Customers have noted that upon installation, the switch quickly connects to the Tuya app and is readily recognized by Home Assistant, resulting in almost instantaneous control over lighting. The backlight feature is a helpful touch, making it easy to find the switch in the dark. However, potential buyers should be aware of certain installation prerequisites, such as the necessity of a neutral wire, which is not a standard in all UK homes. The switch's larger size demands a deeper back box, which may come as a surprise to some users. The product is described as well-built, providing a satisfying tactile feedback when pressed, although users reported that only one of the two physical switches is operational in Home Assistant, limiting its functionality. Despite its strengths, some recurring issues have been raised regarding the longevity of the product. Users reported that the switches tend to have a lifespan of merely 12 to 18 months before experiencing failures, which detracts from the overall experience for many customers who otherwise appreciate its design and functionality. Overall, while the ZigBee Smart Light Switch is praised for its ease of use, integration capabilities, and aesthetic appeal, its reliability issues and specific installation requirements make it less suitable for novice users or those lacking the necessary infrastructure in their homes. **
